Environmental Policy

Responsibility

The CTH Group recognises a duty to its customers, staff and suppliers to procure forest products from sustainable and well-managed sources. The Group will ensure that this policy is communicated to all levels of the organisation, and that employees are instructed to act in accordance with its criteria.

Legality

The CTH Group is committed to purchase all products from legal sources.

Endangered Species

The CTH Group will not source any timber species prohibited under Appendix 1 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).

Origin of Wood Fibre

The CTH Group is committed to reducing and ultimately eradicating timber sourced from uncertified high-value conservation forests, from natural forest converted to non-forest use or from forests where there is serious conflict with, or violation of, civil rights. The CTH Group will not source timber from genetically modified trees.
